Donald F. Wright, 82 of Decatur, formerly of Arab, died Sunday May 28, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Wright was born February 14, 1935 in Marshall County to Curtis Andrew Wright and Mattie Bell Miller Wright. He was a 1952 graduate of Arab High School. He worked for Saginaw-General Motors as a machinist until his retirement. His wife, Sybil Sue Wright preceded him in death on September 28, 2016. He moved from Arab to Decatur in 1984. He was a member of the Arab Masonic Lodge # 663 and the Cahaba Shriners of Huntsville.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Donna and Mike Hasty, Teressa and Scott Hendrix and Melissa and Scott Leslie; two sisters-in-law: Linda Pearce and Betty Wright; six grandchildren: Chase Johnson, Brett Leslie, Cody and Bayleigh Hasty, Seth and Lindsay Mullins, Matthew Leslie, Aaron and Megan Mullins; great grandchildren: Allison Mae Mullins and Connor Michael Hasty and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Sybil Sue Wright and his parents: Curtis Andrew and Mattie Bell Wright.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 1, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Sister: Sandra Godsby, officiating. Burial will be in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
