Funeral service for Russell W. “Cooter” Brown , 58, will be Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Ammons officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown died on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his wife and mother. He was born January 9, 1968, in Morgan County, to JL Charlie Brown and Robbie Evelyn Hudgins Brown.
Beloved husband, son. wonderful father and Pop-Pop to his family. He was employed by R.E. Garrison Trucking, as a Truck Driver for 20 years, prior to his retirement. He had many things in life he loved like fishing, riding his Harley and Alabama football, but the most beloved and favorite thing in his life was his grandkids and family.
His son- Michael McClendon, and his grandparents, Edward and Genevia Hudgins and Joseph and Laura Brown, preceded him in death.

Wife – Hope Brown,
Parents – JL Charlie Brown and
Robbie Evelyn Hudgins Brown,
Daughters – Brittany Wilhite (Spencer Ready),
Daughter – Nicole Champion (Austin Champion), and
Daughter – Carissa Cone (Devan),
Six Grandchildren- Mikayla, McClendon,
Percy Champion, Elijah Champion,
Nolan Cone, Hayden Cone, and
Mallory Ready.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clearview Cancer Center in his name.
