Memorial service for Mary J. “Tiggy” Krabel, 95, will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at the daughter’s residence, 476 Natural Bridge Road, Hartselle, AL 35640, Peck Funeral Home assisting.
Mrs. Krabel died on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born May 18, 1921, in Cook County to Ben Kauth and Sadie Everly Kauth. She was a lady who loved her soulmate of 70 years, Robert C. Krabel, who preceded her in death. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her beloved dogs. Mrs. Krabel was a teacher for over 25 years, she was always a student of literature, music and current events. She grew up on a farm in Winona, IL and lived in Ottawa for over 40 years then moved to Hernando Beach, Florida where she enjoyed the sun and the Gulf for the past 34 years. Her charity dollars always went to help animals.
