Funeral service for Billy Wayne Hill, age 73, of Decatur, will be Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Dozier officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mr. Hill, who died Sunday, April 23, 2017, at L. V. Stabler Memorial Hospital in Greenville, AL, was born August 27, 1943, in Morgan County. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary King Hill, and one son, Marty Hill.
He is survived by two daughters, Sabrina Pitts (Keith) and Melissa Hill, both of Decatur; five siblings, Gene Hill, Carolyn Morgan, Colene Lawrence, Charlotte Morris, and Charlotte Storie; and two grandchildren, Gregory Crittendon, Jr., and Susie Kirby.
Pallbearers will be Danny Thornton, Jimmy King, Alan Morgan, Jim King, Mark King, Mike King, Tommy King, and Billy King.
