Avvis Motes, age 83, of Warrior, AL (formerly of Phil Campbell), passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at her residence.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Merrell Potter officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Motes; daughter, Wanda Marlene Motes; mother, Annie Hallman; step-father, Frank Hallman; brothers, L.B. Hallman and Oneal Hallman.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Ramona Motes Cole; grandson, Joshua A. Cole; brothers, Clovis Hallman, Alton Hallman; step-brother, Verdo Hallman; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Colby Franks, Gary Hallman, Larry Hallman, Randy Hallman, Doug Hallman, and Gary Aldridge.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
