Carlos A. Gregg age, 83 of Sheffield, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017. After graduating from the University of Alabama in 1957, he began a career he loved in Mechanical Engineering with Reynolds Metals Company. He later worked with Tri-Cities Construction and Johnson Contractors before forming Gregg, Bland and Berry. He loved God, his family and his fellow man. Mr. Gregg was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Pauline Gregg; his brothers, Bill and Jerry Gregg; and his son-in-law, Ron Garikes.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Katie Gregg; daughters, Carla Garikes and Susan Dunmire (Dan); and five grandchildren, Kathryn Garikes, Laura Riley (Andrew), Daniel Dunmire, Margaret Dunmire and Gregg Dunmire.
Visitation will be 6-8 Wednesday at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Thursday, 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Sheffield with Rev. Randy Burbank officiating. Interment and graveside service will be Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. in Moore Cemetery, McCalla, AL.
