Nancy Claire Robinson Wilder – Obituary

Nancy Claire Robinson Wilder, 53, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, 6 days after suffering a massive heart attack. Claire was born August 19, l963, the only child born to Van Robinson and Charlene Towery Robinson. She grew up on the Towery family farm south of Plantersville and enjoyed her childhood among family and friends. She always was close to the family Church, the Plantersville United Methodist Church, which her grandparents and mother were faithful members. Claire graduated from Shannon High School in l981 and married Robin Wilder on September 18, 1981. Together, they were parents of their only child, Robin Claire Wilder, born on August 16, 1995. Claire worked for Super D Drugs as a Pharmacy Technician for over 25 years. After that, she clerked for several retail establishments before her health started failing. She was a pleasant woman who made friends easily.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 5 PM Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at the Plantersville United Methodist Church with her pastor, Rev. Lynn Fair officiating and her Sunday school teacher, Charlotte Grant Diggs, delivering personal reflections. Private burial will follow in the Plantersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 PM-service time Sunday only at the Church. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, is honored to be serving their friends and neighbors.
Survivors include her daughter, Claire Wilder of Shannon and her dad, Robin of Alabama. A ½ sister, Maggie Rials and 2 ½ brothers, Wilks Robinson and Wann Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Charlene Robinson and her grandparents, Charlie and Vera Pickering Towery and Mr. and Mrs. Wann Robinson.
