Charlene Harrison Painter, age 92, entered her Heavenly Home on February 13, 2017 at Ridgeview Nursing Home in Jasper, Alabama. During her lifetime she served the Lord faithfully and taught Sunday School for over 60 years. She was a member of Carbon Hill Church of God of Prophecy . She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy in Carbon Hill, Alabama. Pastor John Billy Butler will officiate. Charlene will be laid to rest at Carbon Hill Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her Parents-Claude Haney and Biddy Lee Harris Haney; Husbands-Charles Walker Harrison and Bill Painter; Sisters-Betty Faye Davis, Gladys Beasley and Ventrice McGraw; Brothers-Warrior Haney, Adril Haney, Hershel Haney and Ford Haney; Grandson-Daryl McGough; Son-in-law-Carlos McGough.
She is survived by her Son-Charles Harrison (Margaret) of Carbon Hill; Daughter-Annette McGough of Jasper; Grandchildren-Renee Ledbetter (John), Randy Harrison (Wanda), Brian Harrison and Prissy West (Steve); Great Grandchildren-Misty Garrison (Lee), Naalie Burhop (Brandon), Colton McGough (Jayme), Will Harrison, Ethan West and Luke West; Great-Great Granddaughters-Margaret Ashley Garrison and Mary Colson Burhop.
