Freida Mae Benson, 70, of Florence, passed away February 9, 2017. Freida loved her family and loved spending time with them; she was a mother to many!
Visitation will be Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Ron Stansky officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Benson was preceded in death by her parents, William Poague and Lily Trost; and brothers, David and Chris Poague.
She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Benson of Florence; daughters, Alina McBrayer (Lloyd) of Tuscumbia, Shawna Dickerson (Chris) of Florence; sons, Ray Benson (Sebrina) of Tuscumbia, Jeremy Benson (Jenny) of Florence; sisters, Denise McDonald of Florence, Wanda Richardson (Doyce) of Center Star; brother, Troy Poague of Center Star; grandchildren, Mac Seamons, Chassity Staggs, Raylee Dickerson, Reagan Dickerson, and Landyn Benson; great-grandchildren, Austin Seamons, Eli Bracey, Eli Staggs, Mason Staggs, Willa Seamons, and Maelee Staggs; her loving dog and companion, her baby dog Rowdy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Active pallbearers will include: Rusty DePoyster, Brian Brewer, Michael Staggs, Jason Jackson, Darryl Nelson, and Mac Seamons.
Austin Seamons will serve as honorary pallbearer.
