Rufus Clark Campbell, 79, of Lacey’s Spring the Union Hill Community, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 4, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Mr. Campbell was born on June 29, 1937 in Lincoln County, Tennessee to Eugene W. Campbell and Gladys Dean Clark Campbell. He was a 1957 graduate of Hazel Green High School and was employed by Mallory Capacitor Company in assembly until his retirement. He had lived in the Morgan City area since 1960.
Mr. Campbell and his wife, Magaline Nappier Campbell were faithful member of Lacey’s Spring Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Madge Campbell; his children and in-laws: Raymond and Sharon Campbell, Teresa Kaloi and Derek Newman; grandchildren: Sean Kaloi, Ashley Campbell, Amber Campbell, Sarah Kaloi and April Campbell; and a great grandchild: Jasper Kaloi; a sister and brother-in-law: JoAnn and Ted Ikard.
Pallbearers will be Sean Kaloi, Derek Newman, Scott David, Phil Shaver, Jon Shaver and Jeff Shaver.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Tim Sutton, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Lacey’s Spring with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday February 6, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel.
