Richard Lee Orr, 86 of Arab, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Orr was born March 7, 1930 in Iowa, the son of Thomas Leon Orr and Bertha Sophia Straub Orr. He worked for USDA as an inspector until his retirement. Mr. Orr loved hunting, guns – NRA, reading and airplanes.
He was a member of Arab First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Margaret Joyce “Toots” Orr; his children and in-laws: Tyler and Kenley Orr, Pattie Mint and Cheryl Orr, Diana Lake, Karen and Jim Anders, Jamie and David Russell and Juli Goetz; sisters and brother-in-law Marilee Weuste and Barbara and Larry Koranda; six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service (date pending) will be held at Arab First United Church with Rev. Steve West, officiating.
The family chose cremation with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting.
