William Peyton Dukes, 33, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, in Decatur. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, with a Celebration of Life Service following at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Peggy McClure and Dr. Don Haas officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Peyton was born Feb. 1, 1983, in Alabama to Jeff and Ann Whitt Dukes. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a graduate of West Morgan High School and loved umpiring youth sports.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill J. Dukes, Thomas Whitt, and Jack Riethmaier.
He is survived by his parents; brother, J. Whitt Dukes; nephew, William Wilson Dukes; grandmothers, Juanita Dukes and Catherine Riethmaier; uncle, Ronnie Dukes (Vicki); aunts, Sandra Dukes Barrett (Marty) and Pam Dukes Pike (Eddie); cousins, Matt Dukes (Leah), Meg Tanner (Weston), Lillie Pike, Kyle Pike (Carly), and Jacob Bourland.
Pallbearers will be Steven Burnett, Matt Baldwin, Jason Clark, Donny Dotson, Aaron Batchelder, Taylor Pierce, David Lang, and Kyle Pike.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Morgan County Mental Health Association.
