Carla Renee Spradling – Obituary

Carla Renee Spradling, 52, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born May 11, 1964, in Tacoma, Washington. Carla began her career as a human resource manager in the furniture industry and later worked with Nephrology and Hypertension Associates in Tupelo for 15 years. She worked with her husband in their business before starting her own manufacturing plant, Premier Seating, where she worked until her illness. Very proud of her business, Carla worked tirelessly and diligently to make her company a success and enjoyed a great working relationship with her customers and suppliers. She loved traveling to the beach in Destin, Florida, and the trips they took with Robert and Rebecca Smith.  Most of all, her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 30, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Danny Rushing and Bro. David Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Spradling; and her mother, Myra Soden, both of Mantachie; her father, Carlton Soden, of Lepanto, AR; one son, Cory Spradling (Brittany), of Mantachie; one daughter, Anna Grace Stupka (Caleb) of Guntown; two step-children, Megan Robinson of Tupelo and Brandon Spradling of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Hailee Spradling, Morgan Robinson, Mason Stupka, Ella Reese Spradling, Jackson Spradling, and Drake Stupka; and a friend like a brother, Robert Smith (Rebecca) of Mantachie. She was looking forward to the upcoming birth of her grandson, Case Martin Spradling, in May of this year.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Landon Spradling.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Stephens, Max Stephens, Sonny Stephens, Robert Smith, Craig Stephens, and Ken Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be her Ole Miss game day buddies Mickey and Kim Underwood, Bradley and Romona Smith, and Matt Guin.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
