Jadie H. Terry was born in Marion, Alabama to J.P. and Louise Terry. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia Lane Terry and Rebecca “Becky” Terry of Marion and son, Allen Terry.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey Ann (McCrary); four sons, Thad (Sherry) of Columbus, Georgia, Allen (Melinda) of Trinity, Kevin (Kim) of Trinity and Keith (Brandi) of Hartselle; eight grandchildren, Drew, Blake, Clay, Kyle, Kelsie, Alix, Jayde and Logan; and two great-grandchildren set to arrive later this year.
Jadie retired from Champion/I.P. Papers after 33 years of service. He enjoyed working in the community, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. He served on Trinity City Council and lead West Morgan Booster Club for many years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Jadie was a loyal friend and companion.
A special Thanks to Gail Stricklin, Reginia Tucker, Keith Glass and Julie Selby. They came as nurses/caregivers and will remain as family and friends. A truly Godsent group.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church (1281 Old Hwy. 24, Trinity, AL) on Saturday. Jan. 28th. Visitation with family will be from 3 to 4 p.m. and a celebration service following at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Jadie requested donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church in support of the Carl Goss building fund.
