Eric F. Plunk, 87, of Florence died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2017, 1-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PMin the Chapel, with Rev. James Storie officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Plunk served in the US Army in Korea. He was an Operating Engineer Foreman for TVA and was a retired member of Operating Engineers Local 320. He was a member of First Christian Church and a member of Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Korean War Veterans Association.
Mr. Plunk was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Kate Plunk; mother-in-law, Ruth R. Hall; three nephews, Terry, David, and Craig Newberg.
Mr. Plunk is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Tommie Plunk; sister-in-law, Betty H. Beckham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Darwin Bridges, Leon Nale, Kevin McDaniel, Tom Harrison, Joe Peeden, and Rick Ashley. Honorary pallbearers will be Leldon Jones, Ralph Parker, and Tommy Peeden.
