Essie V. Ayers Cleveland, age 90, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, January 01, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Cleveland was a Christian mother and grandmother who loved her family and everyone around her.
The visitation will be will be 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 04, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Bro. Nick McSpadden and Bro. Justus Cole will be officiating. Burial will be at Old Line Cemetery, in Hodges.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Anderson Ayers and James L. Cleveland; her father and mother, Arthur and Lular Scott; brothers, Bill Scott, R.J. Scott, Harvey Scott, James L. Scott, and John L. Scott; sisters, Ola Ayers, Dora Jones Bratto, and Effie Grissom; and son-in-law, B.J. Tidwell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Rickey Ayers (wife, Pamela); daughter, Paulette Tidwell; sister, Lillie Mae Brewer; granddaughter and caregiver, Amanda Tidwell; granddaughter, April Estis (husband, Andy); granddaughter, Jackie Evans (husband, Bill); grandson, Jared Ayers; honorary grandson and caregiver, Abram Tidwell; great-grandchildren, Hunter & Hayden Estis, Will Evans (wife, Breanna); and great-great-grandchildren, Ashley and Vincent Evans; and several nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Mike Grissom, Jared Ayers, Frank Ayers, Abram Tidwell, Andy Estis, and Hunter Estis.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Home Health and Hospice for the love and care of our mother and grandmother.
