Ella Vee Phillips Miller, 93 of Arab Alabama, died Monday December 26, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Miller was born April 4, 1923 in Cullman County to William Jefferson Holaway and Lou Cinda Maze Holaway. She worked in manufacturing for GTE – Automatic Electric in Huntsville until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved spending time outdoors.
She was a member of Truth Church.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her children and in-laws: Sam and Patsy Phillips, James Edward and Sue Miller, Barbara and David Waddell; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Evard Phillips (1970) and James V. Miller (2008); step daughter: Carolyn Hall; a brother: Arvin Holaway and a sister: Euna Bailey.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Austin Baugh and Jeff Waddell, officiating. Burial will be in New Canaan Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Waddell, Seth Waddell, Nathan Waddell, Chris Holmes, Derrick Phillips and Jesse Waddell.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
