Frederick Gordon Helmer, age 80 of Huntsville passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016.
Mr. Helmer was a veteran of the U.S. Army with 22 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Hedy Helmer, two daughters; Debra Ring, Patricia “Wayne” Culbertson, brother; Hans Helmer, sisters; Sandra Ammerman, Donna (Ron) Cianfoni, three grandchildren; Rachel Young, Keri (Jeremie) Shelton, Tyler Ring, great grandson; Kolten Shelton.
He was preceded in death by his brother Fletcher Helmer and his son- in- law Kevin Ring.
There are no services planned at this time. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting family.
