Dorothy M. Hagood, 96, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at NHC Health Care in Moulton. Visitation will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home and A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at noon following the visitation. Jeff Sellers and the Reverend Gary Heathcock will be officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hagood was born in Decatur, Alabama on Dec. 21, 1919 to James Walton and Carrie Jim McClusky. She retired from South Central Bell after over 40 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church, a volunteer at Committee on Church Cooperation, Community Bible Study, and enjoyed traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Lester Hagood; and sisters, Grace Watts and Frances Gunter.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Hagood Sharp (Mike).
Pallbearers will be friends from Ninth St. United Methodist Church.
