Fred Austin Poss, 88, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The service will be Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Jim Cummings will be officiating. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Mr. Poss was a member of the Carpenter Local 109 for 50 plus years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Lula Poss and six siblings.
He is survived by wife of 66 wonderful years, Barbara “Madru” Webb Poss; daughters, Karen Bolger (William) and Sharon Poss Haynes; grandchildren, Stephanie Haynes Royster (Douglas), Daniel Haynes (Heather), Sara Clem (Andrew), Drew Gilbert; great grandchildren, Brylee, Zaida, Gavinn, Madelyn, Alivia, Zoie, Cruise, and Lauren; host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be family.
