Opaline Thorne Crouse – Obituary

Opaline Thorne Crouse, 77, of Iuka, MS, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Tishomingo Community Living Center in Iuka. Opaline retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing. She was a member of Boggs Chapel United Methodist Church. She liked to crochet, working find-a-word puzzles, and she loved gospel singing. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Saturday, November 26, at Boggs Chapel United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Dale Hathorn and Rev. J.B. Burns. The body will lie in state from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will follow in Boggs Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Thorne, John Bohannon, Chad Strickland, Larry Strickland, Jason Farris, and Bryan Southward. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her brother, Bobby Thorn of Muscle Shoals, AL; her sister, Shirley Thorne of Tishomingo; two aunts, Eva Mae Strickland of Tishomingo and Willard Strickland of Tishomingo; two nieces, two nephews, many cousins, and a special cousin and caregiver, Katie Bohannon of Belmont.
