Funeral services for Jim Franklin Oden, age 50, of Falkville, will be Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Unity Freewill Baptist Church with Brothers Robert Morgan, Keith Bowen and Cliff Barger officiating. Interment in Oden Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Oden passed away Thursday, October 27th at his residence. He was born January 27, 1966 in Birmingham. He finished school at Vinemont, Class of 85. He was a Boy Scout leader from 2006 untill 2016. He enjoyed being a cook at all home football games, especially making funnel cakes. He was owner of Oden’s Auto Glass for the past twelve years and worked there for thirty years. He never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ollis and Venore Oden and Orbin and Loil Childers.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Day Oden; daughter, Elizabeth Oden; son, Ben Oden; his parents, V.A. and Carolyn Childers Oden; brothers, Arthur Oden and George Oden; sisters, Sonja (Steve) Ryan, Linda (John) Webb, and Mary Jane (Troy) Oden; nieces, Amy (Robert) Nash, Kimberly Day and Hannah Fields; nephew, Bradley Fields; great nephews, Lucas Nash and Adam Demint; and great-nieces, Julia Demint and Paislee Fields
