Funeral for Rev. Kenneth Wayne Voss, 86, of Trinity will be Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Bellview Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Alan Queen and Rev. Greg Standridge officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the church.
Rev. Voss, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at his residence, was born Jan. 25, 1930, to Robert Voss and Lillie Tingle Voss. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church. Rev. Voss faithfully served the Lord for over 50 years as a minister in the Southern Baptist Church serving churches in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Colbert, Cullman, Lawrence, Limestone and Morgan Counties in Alabama. He enjoyed playing music and singing. He was retired from Dunlop. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Voss; mother, Lillie Tingle Voss; and three brothers, Avis Voss, Rev. Travis Voss and Venice Voss.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Standridge Voss; two sons, Garry (Deb) Voss and Kenny (Neice) Voss; two daughters, Ronda (Phillip) Hill and Sharon (John) Jay; brother, Jack Voss; three sisters, Bernice Cross, Cora Fry and Dean Cook; eight grandchildren, Garry Voss, Wesley (Lacy) Crunk, Kenneth Nolan Voss, Stephanie (Damon) Morgan, John C. Jay, Ervin Jay, Fran Cox and Jeremy Gurton; and 13 great-grandchildren, Shayna Voss, Rebekah Voss, Gavin Crunk, Avery Crunk, Tristan Archer, Ailiea Morgan, Isabella Morgan, R.J. Cox, Jackson Cox, Emily Jay, Bess Jay, James Jay and Eli Gurton.
Pallbearers will be Robert Fry, Jeff Standridge, Garry Wayne Voss, Wesley Crunk, Nolan Voss, Damon Morgan, Glen Standridge and Jonathan Radford.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Bellview Baptist Church.
