Shirley Ann Barnett, age 71, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt gained her angel wings on Oct. 20, 2016. She will be reunited with her one true love, her husband of 44 years.

The center of Ann’s universe were her two precious grandchildren. She always loved children and could often be found surrounded by her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Glendale Church most of her life. She was a shining example of what a Christian should be, always showing kindness and love to everyone she knew.

The last ten months of her life she resided at Glenwood Nursing Home. During her last days, we had numerous staff approach us and tell us what a special, kind soul Ann was and how she will never be forgotten. The family would like to thank two special nurses for the love and great care they gave, Valerie Ricks and Michelle Fuller.

Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, James Roland Barnett; and her parents, Melvin and Pauline Robinson.

She is survived by her daughter, Angi Narmore; grandsons, Chase and Cayden Narmore; sisters, Sue Winn (Nick) and Mevaline Hinton (David); and many loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. until noon at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Dale Boren, officiating. Burial will be at Center Hill Church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be Chase Narmore, Ben Eckl, Bert Eckl, Steven Watson, Nick Winn, and David Hinton.
