WATERLOO-Alabama State Troopers reported an auto accident at 3:45 AM on Sunday, September 25 which resulted in the death of one individual:
“A single-vehicle crash at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, has claimed the life of a Waterloo woman.
Megan Renee Smith, 20, was killed when the 2002 Ford F150 in which she was a passenger left the roadway in a curve and struck a tree. Smith, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The vehicle’s driver, Devin Aaron Harrison, 19, of Killen, was transported to ECM Hospital in Florence.
The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 3, five miles north of Waterloo.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
