Marvin JR Jones, age 72 of Nauvoo, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Guthrie Cemetery. Steven Myers will officiate.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his Father-Chester Jones; Mother-Joanne Siebert; Sisters-Shelba Jones and Melva Jones.
He is survived by his Wife-Margaret Jones of Nauvoo; Daughters-Malynda Jones of Edwardsburg, MI and Sandy Peters of Cincinatti, OH; Sons-Michael Jones of Cincinatti, OH, Steven Myers of Nauvoo, Shannon Myers of Nauvoo and Justin Cates of Cordova; Sisters-Irene Stevens of Quincy, FL, Willie Jene Nesmith of Saragossa, Mary Goodson of Quincy, FL, Sue Magoon of GA, Yvonne Stewart of Birmingham; Brothers-Robert N. Jones of Sargossa and James A. “Jim” Jones of Townley; 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; Host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Justin Cates, Shannon Myers, Jared Jones and Allen Stafford.
