Funeral service for Jerry Randle Slate, 62, will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walter Blackman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Slate died on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born September 15, 1954, in Morgan County to Max Elliot Slate and Mary Evelyn Randle Slate. Jerry was a long time employee of Terrell Industries, Inc. and was the all-time ticket salesperson for the company annual fundraiser. He attended East Highland Baptist Church for many years. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother.
