Eleanor Sue Scarbel, age 79, of Athens passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Scarbel was born July 25, 1937 to Fred and Irene Rowe Kirk.
Mrs. Scarbel is survived by her husband of 55 years, Eugene E. Scarbel; children, Donna J. Raimondi (John), Ronald P. Scarbel (Holly), and Audrey I. DeVilling (Brint); grandchildren, John and Nicholas Raimondi, and Caroline and Andrew Scarbel; brothers, Thomas Kirk (Betty) and James Kirk; sisters, Ann Crawford and Josephine Seward, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Services for Mrs. Scarbel, are Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Charlie Alookaran officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9:00-10:30 at St. Paul Catholic Church.
Mrs. Scarbel was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Paul Catholic Church or the American Heart Association.
