Billy Wayne Moore, 79 of Valhermoso Springs died Wednesday August 31, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Moore was born January 4, 1937 in Morgan County to Freeman Yearwood Moore and Pearl Lee Hornbuckle Moore. He worked in construction as an equipment operator. His wife; Johnnie Lou Newman Moore preceded him in death December 31, 2012.
Mr. Moore was a member of Calvary Holiness Church.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Rickey and Donnie Moore and Ronald Moore; two daughters: Vickie Thompson and Pam Lavely; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brother’s and sister-in-law: Bobby Moore, Burlon Moore, Jerry and Janice Moore; sisters and brother’s-in-law: Hilda Lenox, Linda and Bob Elliott, Peggy Thompson, Iris Fowler, Nancy and Buddy Johnston. He was preceded in death by his parents: Freeman and Pearl Moore; his wife Johnnie Moore; a brother: Carl Whisenant; two sisters: Maggie Lou Moore and Hattie Lee Hall.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday September 2, 2016 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City with Brother: Chad Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be in Hough Cemetery in Lacey’s Spring with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Williams, Jared Lavely, Mike Moore, Jackie Thompson and Daniel Fowler.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday September 2, 2016 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel prior to the service.
