Matthew “Matt” Grissom, 27, of Russellville died on Aug. 18, 2016. He was born in Florence, Sept. 22, 1988. He was disabled and a veteran having served with the Alabama National Guard.
Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, from noon to 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville with burial to follow. Officiating will be Brother Patrick Martin.
Matt is survived by father, Greg Grissom of Florence; mother, Penelope Smith of Bessemer; brothers, Michael, Gregory (Emily) Grissom and Nathan Gooch of Florence, Joe Festa of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and grandparents, Ralph Grissom Jr., Russellville, Linda (Gary) Stephens, Florence and Vera Johnston, Harvest.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Johnston.
