Saundra Lynn Russell, 75, entered her eternal home on Sunday, July 10, 2016 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church in Decatur with Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home assisting the family. She will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Parkview Baptist Church with the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. with Brother Jerry Welch and Dr. Todd Evans officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Jones, Garrett Miller, Tim Ellis, Terry Moore, Brad Merrell, Len Bell, Bucky Brown and Larry Self.

Mrs. Russell was born on July 4, 1941 in Morgan County to Reverend Floyd Otto Parker and Lillian Earl Murphy Parker. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Brent Miller; sister, Della Ruth Bates and Louis Speakman Norris; brother, Floyd Ray Parker.

Survivors include her loving husband and caretaker, Irvin Autry Russell; sister, Eva T. White Curbow; children, Donna Lynn Miller Sandlin (Tony), Donald Keith Miller (Pam), Edward Bart Miller (Jennifer), Connie Russell Ellis (Tim) and Angela Russell Moore (Terry); 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 15 nieces and 16 nephews.

The family would like to recognize and thank everyone who helped with her care and things around the house. Thank you to Dr. Heather Shah and the staff of CCI Decatur as well as Hospice of the Valley for taking such wonderful care of Saundra.
