Calvin Delano Baccus, age 83, of Double Springs, Alabama passed away Sunday July 10, 2016 at his home. He served in the United States Army, was a retired farmer and a member of Ashridge Community Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Alvis Treece and Danny Page officiating. Burial will follow in Ashridge Community Cemetery.
Mr. Baccus is survived by his wife, Nellie R. Baccus; children, Cheri Gay, Jane (Terry) Pruitt and Terrell (Valerie) Baccus; siblings, William “Bill” Baccus, Unita Thornton, Judy Hill, Wyvonnie Borden & Ethel Lee Lindley; grandchildren, Alicia (Scott) Ward, Arron (Breanna) Hutcheson, Amanda (Mitchell) Johns, Kailey Berry, Evan Hutcheson, Emily Baccus, Ryan Baccus & Graci Pruitt; 5 great grandchildren & one on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Estelle Baccus; 1st wife, Nella Dean Baccus; daughter, Donna Renee Berry; siblings, Kelly Baccus, Jimmy Neal Baccus, Marjean Lewis, Christine Defoor, Leona Otts, Hazel Thrasher Mobley, Helen Baccus & Joan Hood.
