FLORENCE-An early morning auto accident between a Ford Focus and a semi tractor trailer occurred on Wilson Dam Road on Wednesday, July 6.
A Lauderdale County woman, Cherri Lisa Rathai, 47 died after being airlifted to Huntsville Hospital from injuries she sustained in an early morning traffic accident. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Police said Wednesday’s accident occurred at 4:17 a.m. on Wilson Dam Road, near the Euclid Avenue intersection.
The accident is still under investigation.
