Funeral for Wilma Bernice Carroll, 78, of Mount Hope will be Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Mount Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Johnathan Henderson officiating and burial in Ferguson Cemetery. The family will have visitation today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Elliott’s Brown-Service Funeral Home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Carroll was born on Aug. 13, 1937 to Barnie and Fannie Stokes. She was a member of the Mount Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Coy Speake and Clarion Lee Carroll.
She is survived by son, Darwin Speake; daughters, Melanie Epperson, Cheryl Sanders, Chella Hall; grandchildren, Brittany McDonald, Courtney Speake, Chelsea Sanders, Jessica Speake, Nelson Sanders, Rebecca Martinez, Will Hall, Clara Hall; great-grandchild, Reece McDonald; and brother, James McCoy Stokes.
