Funeral for Mildred Brown, 85, of Falkville will be Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Teague and Bro. Stephen Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Vinemont. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brown passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Summerford Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Cullman County to Homer Holland and Beana Viola Nuss Holland. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Falkville. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruthie Deese.
Survivors include her husband, James Brown; one son, Kinnie J. Brown, Falkville; one daughter, Kathleen Hough (Don), Hartselle; one brother, Etheredge Holland, Baileyton; one sister, Opaline Lynch, Cullman; three grandchildren, Amanda Haskins (Mark), Susan Moore (Michael) and Chris Brown (Ashley); and six great-grandchildren, Kaylee Brown, Will Brown, Matthew Haskins, Mollie Haskins, Carter Brown and Cassidy Brown.
Pallbearers will be Michael Moore, Will Brown, Vic Brown, Mark Haskins, Matthew Haskins and Chris Brown.
