Funeral for William Jesse Jeffreys Jr., 86, of Moulton will be Saturday July 2, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Moulton Baptist Church with Dr. Jesse Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the church from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Elliott Funeral Home will be directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr.and Mrs. William Jesse Jeffreys Sr. and his son, William Max Jeffreys.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Smith Jeffreys; son, Tim Jeffreys (Robin) of Atlanta, Georgia, and a daughter, Kim Jeffreys Pitts (Bill) of Birmingham. He is also survived by four grandchildren, William Pitts, Maggie Pitts, Matthew Jeffreys and Madison Jeffreys.
He was a graduate of the University of North Alabama where he received a bachelor of science in mathematics. Later, he earned a master’s degree in chemistry at Peabody College. Mr. Jeffreys retired from Monsanto after 35 years as a chemist. He was a Member of Moulton Baptist Church. He will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
