Effie Mae Short, age 85 of Cordova, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at her residence.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery on the Parrish/Cordova Road. Brother Dale Jacks will officiate.
Mrs. Short was preceded in death by her Daughter-Robin Short; Grandchildren-Carmen Earley, LeAnna Jenkins, Mark Argent, Garnett Argent and Brent Sickles; Great Grandchild-Robin Bridges.
She is survived by her Daughters-Betty Earley, Jeanette Sickles and Denise Owens; Sons-James Sickles (Lyla), Harold Sickles, Sr. (Karen), Bill Owens (Jeanette) and Tim Short, Sr.; 18 Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jay Sickles, Johnathan Sickles, Joeseph Sickles, Harold Sickles, Jr., John Hogland, Tucker Argent and Tim Short, Jr.
