Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, the late James Tillman Clark. She lived most of her life in Decatur and was a lifelong member of Austinville First Baptist Church where for a number of years she taught Children’s four and five year old Sunday school classes.

She retired from Mangel’s Ladies Department Store after 27 years of serving in positions of assistant manager and manager. A few years after retirement, she began another 20-plus year career working until her mid-eighties with Mother’s Day Out Programs.

She was an avid Atlanta Braves Baseball fan and enjoyed watching basketball. Her most endearing times were spent with her family and at Austinville First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Sadie Clark Stockton; granddaughters, Anna (Nick) Dickinson and Ashlee (Jamin) King; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mable Gilbreath (Mike); and a number of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Charles Clark Jr., J.W. Prestwood, Nick Dickinson, Jerry Latham, Adam Latham and Calvin Holt.

In lieu of flowers, it was Mrs. Clark’s wish that donations be made to Austinville First Baptist, 251 Austinville Rd., Decatur, AL 35601.
