Tommy Newman Jr, of Hillsboro, passed away on June 8, 2016. Tommy was 54 years old. He was born on August 29th, 1961 in Hartselle, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Stanton and Clara Newman and C.D. and Jewell Springfield. He is survived by son, Stanton Newman (Lindsay); grandsons, Cody Woodall and Bryce Newman; mother Linda Adams; father Tommy Newman Sr.; stepmother, Martha Newman; sister, Lisa King (Nathan); stepbrothers, Mike Lovelace (Britt) and John Lovelace (Jana). He is also survived by five nephews, one niece, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Tommy worked at International Paper for 34 years until its closing and was employed at Polyplex of Decatur at his death.
We will always be impressed and grateful for the kindness and concern Tommy showed for others. He was the most loving son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
At Tommy’s request there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made in Tommy’s name to Hospice of the Valley & Neighborhood Christian Center.
