James Robert “Bob” Thrasher, age 84, died on May 25, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents James Roland Thrasher and Ruby Henderson Thrasher and by his sister Betty Joan “Judy” Thrasher.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years , Lucille Killian Thrasher; son, James Robert “Jim” Thrasher, Jr., of Huntsville, AL.; daughter, Sarah Jane “Sally” Thrasher Lebeda (Bradley Gene Lebeda) of Renfrow, OK; Grandsons, Jefferson Smith-Thrasher of Taylors, SC and Braden Scott Lebeda of Renfrow, OK. Granddaughters, Katherine Noel Thrasher of Asheville, NC, Mary Ellen Lebeda Heatherington (Grant Lee Heatherington) of Wellington, KS, and Grace Janette Lebeda of Renfrow, OK. And dear cousin, Patricia Browning Hilley (James Wesley Hilley) of Oxford, AL.
Mr. Thrasher was a native of Calhoun County, Alabama, but had resided in Huntsville off and on for 39 years. He was a graduate of Anniston High School and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was retired from The Boeing Company.
