Jack C. Miller, age 79 of Florence, died Thursday, May 12, 2016. His family will receive friends Sunday, 6-9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Thomas Thornton and Troy Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Miller was a native of Tishomingo County and served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ezekiel and Maudie Miller; wife, Vera Miller; grandson, Blake Miller; brothers, James Miller and Kenneth Miller and Autry Miller.
He is survived by; his wife Rosa Miller of Florence; children, Christopher Miller of Tuscumbia, Swan Fisher (Troy) of Muscle Shoals, Deedra Gresham (Chuck) of Muscle Shoals, Teresa Pate (David) of Tuscumbia, & Tim (BJ) Tingle of Killen; sister, Mary Nell Puckett of Tuscumbia; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are grandsons; Jason Willingham, Brandon Fisher, Andrew Davenport, Colton Tingle, Jordan Miller, Jeremy Price, Ken Kiser, David Willingham and Kory Fisher. Great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
