FLORENCE-Daryl V. Raymond, Jr., 48 Who was arrested on Friday, April 30 on charges of sexual abuse of a child under 12 was charged with three more sexual abuse of a minor charges just after having his first appearance in court on the charges that were levied against him on Friday.
Raymond who was working with Jungle Safari (a traveling petting zoo) at the time of his arrest, appeared in a Lauderdale County courtroom Monday on two counts of sexual abuse had three more charges filed after his court appearance. Investigators with the Florence Police Department said they have identified five victims in total.
In court, the Lauderdale County Assistant District Attorney, Will Powell, filed a motion for Raymond to have no bond saying Raymond was a flight risk.
A hearing is set for Friday to determine Raymond’s bond, according to the District Attorney’s Office. Until the Friday court date Raymond remains behind bars with a $100,00 bond.
This case is still under investigation and more charges are likely to be forthcoming against Raymond.
