Mildred Juanita “Millie” Tyer, 58 of Somerville, Alabama, died Saturday – April 30, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Tyer was born on August 21, 1957 in Mississippi, the daughter of Harry Jones & Mildred Varner Jones. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her children and loving grandchildren. She had lived in Somerville for the past four years, moving from Tuscumbia.
She was of the Pentecostal Faith.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, William Arthur “Bill” Tyer; her son Christopher Tyer ( Nicole); three daughters: Kimberly Tyer, Kristina Haraway, Kasey Tyer; brothers: Tommy Jones (Annette), Bill Jones (Patty); sisters: Sharon Hinton and Mary Holden (Jeff) and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry & Mildred Jones, and a daughter Kelli Brooks.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday – May 3, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Sister: Barbara Trussell officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, Alabama. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Jones, Billy Jones, Jeremy Winkelmann, Phillip Brooks, Jacob Handley and Brian Seals.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, prior to the service.
