Tish Farris, age 95, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, April 18, 2016. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, April 20, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Farris was born in Tennessee, but lived most of her life in the Shoals area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sheffield. Preceding Mrs. Farris in death are her husband, T.J. Farris; parents George and Dessie Mullins; sister, Helen Mabry; and brother, Ronald Mullins.
Survivors include her daughter, Sara King (Harlon); son, Charles Ray Farris (Marilyn); grandchildren, Tina Pitt (Greg), Terri King, Beth Stevens (Trey), and Hunter Farris (Ana); great grandchildren, Haley, Parker, Emily, and Andrew; brothers, Hilburn, Don, and Arnold Wayne Mullins; and sisters, Nettie White, Elizabeth Durbin, and Juanita Johnson.
Pallbearers include Greg Pitt, Daniel Pitt, Hunter Farris, Trey Stevens, Parker Stevens, and Larry Black. Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Robbins and Forrest Smallwood.
The family gratefully acknowledges the excellent care provided for Mrs. Farris by Dr. Andre Taylor and staff, Lynnfield Place, and Magnolia Hospice.
