Bobby Joe Jackson left this world at the age of 77 to join the love of his life, Linda Boatwright Jackson, in Heaven on April 17, 2016. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Francisco Vazquez officiating. Burial will be a Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leonard and Bertha Jackson and 11 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter Ajeana (aka Tina) Jackson (Jody Sharpton), his son Eddie Anderson (Debbie), 3 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Bobby was the definition of a family man, selfless to fault, funny, loving, kind, and compassionate.
Pops was a special kind of person who was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
The family wishes to thank the 4th floor staff at Helen Keller Hospital and the staff of Hospice of Tennessee Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital or Shoals Animal Advocates.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
