Garry Lee Clark, 69, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Born Tuesday, July 16, 1946 in Fayetteville, Tennessee he was the son of Jessie Newton Clark and Dorothy Mae Cothren Clark of Ardmore, AL.
A life-long resident of this area and a member of Mable Hill Baptist Church, he enjoyed playing blue grass music on the banjo and was a founding member of the Bobo Fire Department, serving thirteen years as a fire chief.
Surviving are wife, Joyce Clark of Elkwood, AL; brothers; Kenneth (Gayle) Clark of Elkwood, AL. Lonnie Clark of Elkwood, AL, Joe (Judy) Clark of Elkwood, AL, Roy (Malynn) Clark of Taft, TN, Rodger (Sharon) Clark of Hazel Green, AL. Michael (Mona) Clark of Hazel Green, AL; sisters: Barbara (Jimmy) Gurley of Hazel Green, AL and Doris (Doyle) Peoples of Taft, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Old Stateline Methodist Church (now known as Genesis Methodist) in Hazel Green, Alabama, with Dr. Mike Clark officiating. Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery, Hazel Green, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama.
