Mr. Michel Dean Shook, 58, of Florence, passed away on April 14, 2016 at his residence. He was a member of Jones Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Jones Chapel Free Will Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with Brother Allen Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sherrod Valley Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Clayton Shook, Sr. and his brother, Robert Clayton Shook, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Redding Shook; mother, Pearline Shook; son, Todd Shook of Harvest, Ala; daughters, Heather Jones of Florence and Tara Hammond (Josh) of Anderson, Ala.; brother, Jimmy Shook of Florence; sisters, Mary Jo McKinney (Wade) of South Haven, MS., Teresa Knickerbocker (Tim), Lynn Hornbuckle both of Gurley, Ala., and Frances Smith (Jesse) of Waterloo; grandchildren, Kaleigh Wilder, Emma Hammond and Bryleigh Hammond.
Tim Knickerbocker, Tim High, Michael Haraway, Wade McKinney, Jared McKrill and Josh Hammond will serve as pallbearers.
Alex Griffith and Scott Fox will serve as honorary pallbearers.
