Michelle H. Allen, age 48 of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, died Saturday – April 9, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Michelle was born on February 16, 1968 in Morgan County, Alabama to Darby Gene Haggermaker and Patricia Jean Griffin. She was a 1986 graduate of Decatur High School. She had lived in Lacey’s Spring for the past 13 years and was a Custodian at Eastwood Elementary School in Decatur Alabama. Michelle was married to Rickey Eugene Allen for 25 years.
Michelle was a member of Resurrection Baptist Church in the Florette Community.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 25 years, Rickey E. Allen; her mother: Patricia Jean Griffin and step father John Albert Murphy; daughters: Amber Grissett (John), Summer Allen, step sons: Robbie Allen and Jamie Allen; step daughter: Crystal Allen; a grandson Braxton Clark, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Payten Grissett; five step grandchildren: Taylor Nixon, Trenton Allen, Evan Allen, Skyler Nixon and Adrian Allen; a brother Bill Haggamaker (Joanna), a sister Angela Haff (John).
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday – April 13, 2016 at Bethlehem Baptist Church at Lacey’s Spring, with Brother Larry Conley and Brother Curtis Thornberry officiating. Family elected cremation. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Brindlee Mountain Chapel directing.
Visitation with the family will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. prior to service.
