TUPELO-The Lee County Sheriff’s Department arrested two suspects and charged them with Burglary of a Vehicle on Wednesday, March 30. The sheriff’s department released a statement concerning the arrests:
“On March 29th, the Lee County Sheriff’s Department received two reports from residents in the Garden Park subdivision off of Birmingham Ridge Road of burglary of vehicles. Some of the items taken where credit cards, checkbooks, wallets, and IDs. Working with the assistance of Wal-Mart Loss Prevention personnel, we were able to determine that some of the cards were used at Wal-Mart in Tupelo, Pontotoc, and Holly Springs, MS. The suspects returned to Tupelo where they were staying in a local hotel.
On Wednesday March 30th, the suspects were arrested without incident in Tupelo.
Brandon Roberson, 26 years old, Mt Olive, AL and Bryanna Hyde, 20 years old, Cullman, AL were arrested and both have been charged with 4 counts of Burglary of a Vehicle and 1 count of Possession of 15 or more sales slips or Universal Product Code Labels. All charges are felonies.
During this investigation we were able to identify a total of 4 vehicles that had been burglarized in the Garden Park subdivision and also other burglaries with other jurisdictions.
Property from the burglarized vehicles was recovered. Other property from other thefts in Tupelo and other areas in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee was also discovered.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Department is working with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in Ridgeland, MS, Baldwin County, AL Sheriffs Dept., and Tupelo and Oxford Police Departments in the investigation into these suspects.”
