David Paul Freeman – Obituary

David Paul Freeman, 52, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Manchester, Tennessee and spent most of his life in Huntsville aside from three childhood years on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. He was a devoted Christian, loving husband, father, son, and grandfather to be. David was a graduate of Grissom High School, attended Auburn University, and graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville where he met his wife, Danna. He loved sports of all kinds; especially Auburn football. He enjoyed coaching many of his children’s teams through the years at Huntsville National League and with various other youth sports teams. David was a Certified Public Accountant and owner of a Liberty Tax Service franchise in Huntsville.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Danna Brewer Freeman; daughter, Katie Freeman Andress (John); son, Blake Freeman (fiancée Amanda Turkel); father, Paul C. Freeman, Jr.; sisters, Glenda Freeman Traller (Marty) and Sheri Freeman Jernigan (Dee); and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Stith Freeman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville, with a memorial service following at the church. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
